THE MEXICAN GRAND PRIX LIVE STREAMING

The inaugural Mexican Grand Prix was conducted in 1962 on the freshly constructed Magdalena Mixhuca course in Mexico City, which bears the name of the neighborhood park where it was situated and would later hold fencing, hockey, basketball, and track cycling at the Summer Olympic games in 1968. Jim Clark dominated the race again for 2nd straight when it was included in the Formula 1 World Championship in 1963. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for the Mexican Grand Prix to lose its spot on the schedule, mostly because of its own success. The 200,000+ people that attend the event every year were out of control for the organizers, endangering the safety of the participants. Jacky Ickx succeeded in the last competition after 16 years in 1970 representing ferrari.

A new agreement that guaranteed the event's existence by at least 2022 was revealed in August 2019. Because of the coronavirus epidemic, the event was postponed till 2020. In order to emphasize the backing from the local government, the event's name was changed to the "Mexico City Grand Prix" in 2021.

A total of 372,000 people attended the event in2021, an increase of almost 30,000 over the previous one in 2019. The signing of hometown favorite Sergio Perez to Red Bull increased attendance numbers. The Mexican racer finished on the podium, making history as the nation's first podium finisher at home.

WHEN WAS THE MEXICO CITY TRACK BUILT?

In order to establish a race circuit in 1959 in Mexico City's Magdalena Mixiuhca sports area utilizing the operating inner routes, the father of the country's two most well-known racer siblings, Ricardo & Pedro Rodriguez, who are still active today, spoke with Mexican President Adolfo Lopez Mateo. El Presidente approved of the concept, and construction on the track was finished in less than a year.

WHAT KIND OF CIRCUIT IS IT?

The 4.3 kilometer circuit at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is a breathtaking sight because it is located more than 2 kilometers above sea level. The circuit's historic layout from 1959 can still be seen in major parts of the course. The biggest distinction is that the track now passes through the former Foro Sol baseball stadium, offering one of Formula One's most distinctive views, in place of the magnificently terrifying Peralta turn.
